This Privacy Policy applies to the MyBabyMealLog mobile application for iOS and Android.

MyBabyMealLog is designed to help parents log their baby’s meals in a simple and private way. Protecting your privacy is important to us.

1. Information We Collect

Meal Data

All meals you log are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your meal history.

If you use the optional backup feature, you control where the backup file is stored.

Food Suggestions (Optional)

If you submit a food suggestion, the name of the suggested food and limited technical information (such as app version and platform) may be transmitted securely to our servers via Firebase.

These suggestions are used only to improve the app’s built-in food list.

App Usage & Technical Data

We collect limited, anonymous technical data to ensure the app works reliably and to improve performance. This may include:

• Anonymous app usage events (such as feature usage)
• Crash reports
• Performance diagnostics
• Anonymous device or app instance identifiers

We do not collect names, email addresses, precise location data, or meal content from your device.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected data only to:

• Provide the app’s core functionality
• Improve stability and performance
• Review submitted food suggestions
• Diagnose and fix errors

Your logged meal data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Payments

MyBabyMealLog currently does not process in-app payments.

4. Data Sharing

We may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate the app, including:

• Firebase (analytics, crash reporting, optional food suggestions)
• Apple App Store / Google Play (for payment processing)

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.

We do not sell or rent user data.

Any data transmitted by MyBabyMealLog is encrypted in transit using industry-standard security protocols (HTTPS / TLS).

Meal logs remain stored locally on your device unless you choose to export them.

6. Children’s Privacy

MyBabyMealLog is intended for use by adults (parents and caregivers). The app is not designed for children to use directly, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Retention

Meal data is stored only on your device and remains there until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Anonymous technical data is retained only as long as necessary to maintain and improve the app.
